Rain Dove es una modelo andrógina que decidió modelar como hombre y mujer para romper con los estereotipos de belleza, y de género.

En una entrevista que le hizo el Daily Mail Raine explicó que sus medidas han provocado que no cumpla con los estándares de las campañas de moda para mujeres. «Todos los que ven mis fotos no me ven como a los demás modelos y yo lucho por cambiar eso en la moda y en la sociedad en general. Nací mujer y así es como me identifico, pero me es indiferente que hoy me vean como hombre o mujer, soy un ser humano y punto», manifestó.

Con el paso del tiempo Dove se ha convertido una activista por los derechos transexuales y el rechazo a las etiquetas por género. A través de su cuenta de Instagram publica diversas imágenes posando para ambos géneros y explicó: “son pequeños detalles como la camisa abierta o unos zapatos masculinos los que cambian nuestras perspectivas de género. No es la persona en sí, sino los complementos que la rodean y las asociaciones que tenemos en nuestra mente”.

Or just sexploitation? Some things may surprise you! For instance as of 2012 beach volleyball «women» were allowed permission to wear many other types of attire aside from bikinis as long as it’s approved. However this remains the most common attire type and most times the decision on what to wear is made by the team owner, committee, or sponsor with no input from the player. Some players say that they prefer this because bikinis do better in the sand. Some say they won’t get endorsements and sponsorships otherwise. 👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩👙🎩 Kids will be going back to school knowing that these are the top athletes in the world. Knowing that this is how you have to dress to be a professional. And statistically 6/10 «women» will stop playing athletics they love in college and highschool because of «body image» or exposure. Anteriormente había revelado que comenzó a «aprovechar» su ambigüedad para conseguir distintos trabajos: “No fue hasta que trabajé como bombero en el bosque cuando me sentí más fortalecida en mi ambigüedad y sexualidad en lo que se refiere a presentación de género”, contó y agregó que en ese momento no podía negar su masculinidad porque necesitaba el empleo por lo que «utilicé mi género indefinido para conseguir distintos trabajos”, reconoció.
